The District Multipurpose Development and Information Centre (DMDIC), a Non Governmental Organization(NGO) is situated at Rangalipather village under Joypur Development Block area, 3 kilometers west from Naharkatia town and 58 kilometers from Dibrugarh District head quarter and 500 kilometers east from state capital Guwahati.

DMDIC was established in the year 1987 with the active initiative and sacrifice of Rev. Binoy Kr. Topno, Pastor of Rangalipather Church and some social-minded people of Rangalipather who wanted to bring a positive change in the life of the poor and underprivileged. They were ably supported and guided by Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA), a National Level Voluntary Organization having its Head Office at New Delhi and Regional Office at Guwahati. DMDIC was registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 in the year 1991-92 and under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act in the year 2005. DMDIC has been carrying out developmental activities in the District of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia from foreign source as well as local source. DMDIC receives foreign contribution from CASA to implement its activities.
